Regular Season Round 7: Froya Basket - Asker Aliens 72-95

The game between second ranked Froya Basket (6-2) and seventh ranked Asker Aliens (4-4) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Froya Basket was crushed by Asker Aliens in Laksevag 95-72. Asker Aliens forced 21 Froya Basket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Joshua Hart (194-90, college: Va Intermont) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: UNH) chipped in 19 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Asker Aliens players scored in double figures. American forward Devin Gilligan (196-93, college: SNHU) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Daniel Sandven (184-0) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Froya Basket's coach Baard Stoller gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Asker Aliens moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ammerud Bskt. Froya Basket at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Asker Aliens is looking forward to face higher ranked Baerum Basket (#4) in Bekkestua in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Froya Basket will play at home against Nidaros Jets and is hoping to win this game.
