Regular Season Round 14: Chiba J. - Akita NH 70-68

Important game to mention about took place in Chiba. Second ranked Chiba J. (11-3) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Akita Happinets (8-6) 70-68 on Saturday evening. They outrebounded Akita Happinets 43-27 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 assists. American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Bahamas power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Alex Davis (206-92, college: Fresno St.) added 11 points in the effort for Akita Happinets. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Chiba J. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ryukyu GK. Akita Happinets at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Hitachi SRT. Chiba J. will again play against Akita Happinets (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Akita Happinets will have a break next round.
