Regular Season Round 11: Palanga - Neptunas-Akv. 70-74

Neptunas-Akv. has finally registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Palanga, where they defeated Palanga (1-3) 74-70 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Palanga 36-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Dovydas Romancenko (206-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Forward Nojus Mineikis (201-0) helped adding 15 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Chase Harler (191-98, college: WVU) responded with 22 points and 7 assists and Mantvydas Zukauskas (193-98) scored 7 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Neptunas-Akv. (1-4) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place. It was Palanga's third loss in a row. They keep the eleventh position with three games lost. Neptunas-Akv. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Palanga will play again on the road against Neptunas-Akv. (#12) in Klaipeda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
