Rather expected game when 10th ranked Alcobendas (1-5) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Ponferrada (4-2) 79-68 on Saturday. Ponferrada forced 19 Alcobendas turnovers. It was a great evening for Canadian forward Amidou Bamba (203-98, college: Charlotte) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Pablo Hernandez (201-97, college: MBU, agency: Promo Sport ID) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Ponferrada players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Jorge Parra (192-98) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian center Filip Krajina (209-95) scored 10 points. Ponferrada moved-up to sixth place in Silver. Newly promoted Alcobendas keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Ponferrada will face Algeciras (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Alcobendas will play against the league's leader Estela and hope to win that game.
