Regular Season Round 8: Primorska - Mega 69-71

Bottom-ranked Slovenian Primorska (0-8) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to third ranked Serbian Mega SoccerBet (6-2) 71-69. Mega SoccerBet outrebounded Primorska 46-30 including 34 on the defensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The winners were led by Montenegrin center Marko Simonovic (210-99) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and Bosnian power forward Karlo Matkovic (208-3, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 12 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks. Mega SoccerBet's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 21 points and 4 assists by guard Luka Voncina (193-91, college: Charlotte) did not help to save the game for Primorska. Kosovan-Albanian Erjon Kastrati (198-94) added 21 points for the hosts. Mega SoccerBet have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Crvena Zvezda. Primorska at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Mega SoccerBet will play against Split (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Primorska will play against Krka (#11) in Novo Mesto and hopes to get finally their first victory.
