Regular Season Round 6: Zabiny Brno - U19 Chance 106-39

Bottom-ranked U19 Chance (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 106-39 loss to fifth ranked Zabiny Brno (3-1) in Brno on Saturday evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to U19 Chance's 28. Zabiny Brno forced 42 U19 Chance turnovers and outrebounded them 49-31 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Zabiny Brno looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by U19 Chance's players. The best player for the winners was point guard Eliska Hamzova (182-1) who scored 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 9 steals. Guard Laura Miksikova (181-3) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Five Zabiny Brno players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Julia Vydrova (181-2) who recorded 7 points and 8 rebounds and guard Simona Ruzkova (170-99) added 11 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Zabiny Brno moved-up to fourth place. Loser U19 Chance still closes the standings with five games lost. Zabiny Brno will face Slovanka MB (#9) in Vodochody in the next round where they are favorite. U19 Chance will play at home against Chomutov and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
