Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Valencia Basket (4-6) was defeated at home by second ranked CB Canarias (10-1) 95-89 on Sunday. CB Canarias made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Brazilian-Italian point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 assists and Canadian-Dutch forward Aaron Doornekamp (201-85, college: Carleton) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was French forward Louis Labeyrie (209-92) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) scored 20 points. Five CB Canarias and four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. CB Canarias have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-1 record behind leader Real Madrid. Valencia Basket lost third consecutive game.
