Regular Season Round 9: Pabianice - Kutno 93-88

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Kutno (1-6) lost on the road to twelfth ranked Pabianice (1-7) 93-88 on Sunday. Pabianice forced 21 Kutno turnovers. Strangely Kutno outrebounded Pabianice 53-41 including a 43-32 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for forward Michal Wasilewski (191-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Filip Sauter (179-99) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Jan Grzelinski (180-94, college: Canisius) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals and guard Arkadiusz Stachera (185-90) added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Kutno. Five Pabianice and four Kutno players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Pabianice maintains twelfth place in Group B with 1-7 record. It was Kutno's sixth loss in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. Pabianice will face higher ranked AZS UW (#9) in Warszawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
