Regular Season Round 8: Sokol HK - U19 Chance 93-49

Bottom-ranked U19 Chance (0-7) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to second ranked Sokol HK (6-1) 93-49. Sokol HK dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to U19 Chance's 32 and made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Sokol HK forced 23 U19 Chance turnovers and outrebounded them 39-23 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pamela-Therese Effangova (178-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points. Guard Kristyna Cuperkova (173) contributed with 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Sokol HK players scored in double figures. Guard Simona Ruzkova (170-99) replied with 12 points and guard Sara Vadlejchova (168-1) added 8 points in the effort for U19 Chance. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol HK have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-1 record having just three points less than leader USK Praha. U19 Chance at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Sokol HK's next round opponent will be Slovanka MB (#9) in Vodochody and are hoping to win another game. U19 Chance will play at home against Slavia and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
