A very interesting game took place in Petkim. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Gaziantep (3-5) to eighth ranked Socar Petkim (5-5) 67-66 on Tuesday evening. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Kendrick Ray (188-94, college: KSU) notched 15 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and Ian Hummer (201-90, college: Princeton) supported him with 15 points. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by Rashard Kelly (203-95, college: Wichita St.) did not help to save the game for Gaziantep. Trevis Simpson (193-91, college: UNCG) added 13 points for lost side. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tofas and Afyon. Gaziantep lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Socar Petkim's next round opponent will be league's leader Anadolu Efes in Istanbul and it may be quite challenging game. Gaziantep will play at home against Tofas (#5) and hope to win that game.
