Very predictable result in Saporro where second ranked Chiba J. (13-3) defeated 9th ranked Hokkaido L. (4-12) 72-68 on Wednesday. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-94, college: Ole Miss) who added 11 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Nick Mayo (206-97, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jawad Williams (204-83, college: UNC) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Chiba J. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-3 record having just one point less than leader Tochigi B. Loser Hokkaido L. dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. Chiba J. will face Shimane Magic (#4) at home in the next round.
