Regular Season Round 10: Darussafaka - Besiktas 82-86

Bottom-ranked Besiktas managed to get the second consecutive victory on Wednesday night. This time they won against seventh-ranked Dacka in Istanbul 86-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dacka. Besiktas made 32-of-42 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International power forward Alperen Sengun (205-2) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard James Blackmon-Jr (193-95, college: Indiana) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side international guard Sinan Guler (192-83, college: Carroll, MT) responded with 30 points (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-96) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Dacka's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Besiktas (3-7) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with OGM Orman. Loser Dacka dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Galatasaray. Besiktas will meet at home higher ranked Turk Telekom (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Dacka will play against Fethiye (#14) and hope to secure a win.
