Very important is a road loss of third ranked Indios (7-5) against ninth ranked Mets (5-6) on Wednesday night. Visiting Indios were edged by Mets in a tough game in Guaynabo 101-102. Mets made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American point guard David Stockton (180-91, college: Gonzaga) nailed 40 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Terrence Jones (206-92, college: Kentucky) accounted for 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and naturalized American Melsahn Basabe (201-92, college: Iowa) added 25 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Indios in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mets moved-up to eighth place. Indios at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They share it with Bayamon and Guayama.
