No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Brno (5-2) defeated at home 11th ranked Svitavy (3-8) 88-75. Brno dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Svitavy's 26. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Svitavy's players. 26 personal fouls committed by Svitavy helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for forward Jakub Krakovic (205-90) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). International center Simon Pursl (204-97, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Naturalized Slovakian point guard Roman Marko (192-86) came up with 18 points and 6 assists and forward Matej Svoboda (200-96, college: Dayton) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Svitavy in the defeat. Five Brno and four Svitavy players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Brno. They moved-up to fourth place. Svitavy at the other side keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. Brno's next round opponent will be Kolin (#5) on the road. Svitavy will play against the league's leader Nymburk (#1) and hope to win that game.
