No shocking result in a game in Xian where third ranked Shaanxi (11-3) smashed 6th ranked Chongqing (7-7) 104-74 on Friday. Shaanxi dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Chongqing's 32. Shaanxi forced 23 Chongqing turnovers and outrebounded them 40-24 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Jiawei Feng (190-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Jian Dong (193-96) helped adding 15 points and 4 steals. Four Shaanxi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Siqi Wang (192-94) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Hao Zhang (202-97) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shaanxi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 11-3 record having just two points less than leader Guangxi. Loser Chongqing keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Shaanxi will meet Hebei (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chongqing will play against Hunan (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
