The biggest surprise of round 2 in Serie B took place in Imola where host Imola beat Faenza 71-63 on Sunday evening. Imola made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Faenza helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Davide Toffali (196-98) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Marco Morara (198-90) chipped in 16 points. The former international forward Simone Pierich (199-81) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Filippo Testa (192-97, agency: SLN) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Faenza's coach Alberto Serra rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Faenza will play next round against Cesena trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Imola will try to continue on its current victory against Alba on the road.
