Regular Season Round 9: Mornar Bar - Levallois 89-78

Very important is a road loss of third ranked French Levallois (6-3) against fourth ranked Montenegrin Mornar Bar (4-5) on Wednesday night. Visiting Levallois were defeated by Mornar Bar in Bar 89-78. The game was mostly controlled by Mornar Bar. Levallois was better in second period 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Georgian-American guard Jacob Pullen (183-89, college: Kansas St.) stepped up and scored 27 points for the winners and American forward Kenny Gabriel (205-89, college: Auburn) chipped in 12 points. Mornar Bar's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Archie Goodwin (196-94, college: Kentucky) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Five Levallois players scored in double figures. Mornar Bar maintains fourth place with 4-5 record. Levallois at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Mornar Bar will play against higher ranked Buducnost (#3) in Podgorica in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Levallois will play at home against Brescia and hope to get back on the winning track.
