Regular Season Round 7: PAOK - Larissa BC 91-93

Larissa BC's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Thessaloniki, where they edged PAOK (2-5) 93-91 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 29-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Larissa BC made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for James Webb-III (206-93, college: Boise St.) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Jerry Smith (189-87, college: Louisville) accounted for 22 points and 4 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winning side. Point guard Malcolm Griffin (193-91, college: Fresno Pacific, agency: Higher Vision Sports) came up with 17 points and 5 assists and guard Jermaine Love (188-89, college: UIS) added 13 points respectively for PAOK in the defeat. Five PAOK players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Larissa BC went down to twelfth position due to points difference. It was PAOK's third loss in a row. They dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with Ionikos Nikaias and Kolossos HH. Larissa BC will meet higher ranked Peristeri GS (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PAOK will play against Kolossos HH (#10) in Rodou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
