Regular Season Round 19: Osaka E. - Shiga L-Stars 101-96

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Osaka E. (9-10) beat at home 7th ranked Shiga L-Stars (7-12) 101-96 on Wednesday. Osaka E. made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Osaka E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 9 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). His fellow American import center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists and point guard Shunto Murakami (183-96) scored 16 points. Five Osaka E. and four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars' coach Shawn Dennis tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Osaka E. maintains fourth place with 9-10 record. Shiga L-Stars lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Osaka E. will face league's second-placed Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shiga L-Stars will play at home against the league's leader Tochigi B. (#1) and hope to win that game.
