Regular Season Round 21: Fukushima - Koshigaya A. 81-83

A very close game took place in Fukushima between Koshigaya A. and Fukushima. Fifth ranked Koshigaya A. (11-8) got a very close victory on the road over 4th placed Fukushima (13-8). Koshigaya A. managed to escape with a 2-point win 83-81 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. Four Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: NM State) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and guard Shota Kanno (187-92) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Koshigaya A. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 11-8 record. Loser Fukushima dropped to the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers. Koshigaya A. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fukushima will play again against Koshigaya A. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
