Very important is a road loss of third ranked Le Mans (4-2) against fifth ranked Cholet (4-1) on Saturday night. Visiting Le Mans was defeated by Cholet in Cholet 69-57. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Le Mans. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Cholet forced 19 Le Mans turnovers and outrebounded them 44-32 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cholet moved-up to second place, which they share with ASVEL. Loser Le Mans dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Cholet will meet Limoges (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Le Mans will have a break next round.
