LPB top team - FC Porto (8-0) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Galitos-Barreiro (1-7) 78-70. American guard Bradley Tinsley (190-89, college: Vanderbilt, agency: Promo Sport ID) fired 32 points and 5 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winners. The other American import power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. FC Porto's coach Moncho Lopez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Patrick McGlynn (188-92, college: URI) produced 32 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and Kenyan-American forward Alonzo Nelson-Ododa (206-93, college: Pittsburgh) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. FC Porto have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record, which they share with Sporting. Loser Galitos-Barreiro dropped to the twelfth place with seven games lost. FC Porto will meet at home Maia Basket (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Galitos-Barreiro will play against Lusitania in Angra and hope to win that game.
