The game with biggest result difference took place in Moscow. Local CSKA (11-3) outscored 9th ranked Turkish Anadolu Efes (7-7) 100-65 on Tuesday night. The game without a history. CSKA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Anadolu Efes' 32. They outrebounded Anadolu Efes 39-28 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. CSKA looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Mike James (185-90, college: Lamar) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. The other American import Will Clyburn (201-90, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 22 points. Four CSKA players scored in double figures. Armenian-American center Bryant Dunston (203-86) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSKA have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Barca. Defending Turkish champion Anadolu Efes keep the ninth place with seven games lost. CSKA will face Zenit (#6) in Sankt Petersburg in the next round where they are favorite. Anadolu Efes will play at home against Armani Milano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
