Regular Season Round 5: St-Quentin - Rouen 80-75

Very important is a road loss of second ranked SPO Rouen (3-2) against fifteenth ranked Saint-Quentin (2-2) on Friday night. Visiting SPO Rouen was defeated by Saint-Quentin in a tough game in Saint-Quentin 75-80. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of SPO Rouen. It was a great evening for Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89, college: Windsor) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Hugo Besson (191-1) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. American power forward Amin Stevens (203-90, college: FAMU) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Pierre-Etienne Drouault (196-90) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SPO Rouen's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Saint-Quentin moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Nancy. SPO Rouen at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Saint-Quentin will play against league's second-placed Nantes on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SPO Rouen will play against the league's leader ADA Blois and will have a slim chance for a victory.
