Regular Season Round 9: Castello - Granada 105-100

An interesting game for Castello (7-1) which hosted in Castellon 3rd placed Granada (6-3). Second ranked Castello managed to get a 5-point victory 105-100. Castello shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 58.1 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by Granada helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Eduardo Duran (190-91) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Naturalized Dominican power forward Juan-Jose Garcia (201-89, agency: Duran International) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Castello's coach Toni Ten allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Lluis Costa (187-93) who recorded 21 points and 6 assists and Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU, agency: Players Group) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Castello maintains second place in Gold with 7-1 record having just one victory less than leader Breogan. Granada at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Castello's next round opponent will be Real Murcia (#7) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Granada will play against Huesca (#10) and hope to win that game.
