Regular Season Round 10: Estepona - Novaschool 87-95

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Estepona (3-4) lost at home to sixth ranked Novaschool (3-1) 95-87 on Saturday. Estepona was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Alex Jackson (200-84, college: UMSL) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds. Center Anastasio Vazquez (204-92) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Jackson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Five Novaschool players scored in double figures. Alberto Vera (-97) replied with 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Guillermo Vergara (191-97) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Estepona. Estepona's coach Pablo Bernabe tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Novaschool moved-up to second place, which they share with 8 other teams. Newly promoted Estepona dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Novaschool will face Andujar (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Estepona will play against ULB OH!TELS in La Linea and hope to win that game.
