Regular Season Round 23: Bambitious N. - Koshigaya A. 85-75

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Koshigaya A. (12-9) lost to eighth ranked Bambitious N. (7-15) in Nara 75-85 on Saturday. Bambitious N. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Koshigaya A.'s 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Koshigaya A. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Tomonobu Hasegawa (184-90) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Bambitious N. players scored in double figures. American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) added 7 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Koshigaya A.Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bambitious N. maintains eighth place with 7-15 record. Loser Koshigaya A. keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Bambitious N. will face again higher ranked Koshigaya A. (#5) in Tokyo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
