Regular Season Round 10: Lliria - Torrent 82-67

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Torrent (1-7) lost on the road to second ranked Lliria (8-1) 82-67 on Saturday. Lliria looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for Jon Galarza (193-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Victor Perez (180-90) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Lliria players scored in double figures. Pablo Murcia replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Alejandro Terrades (196-1) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Torrent. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lliria have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-1 record having just eleven point less than leader Llucmajor. Torrent lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. Lliria will face Picken Claret (#6) in Leioa in the next round. Torrent will play at home against Aldaia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
