Regular Season Round 5: Poitiers - Fos-Provence 79-110

Bottom-ranked Poitiers is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to sixth ranked Provence Basket (3-1) 110-79. Provence Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Poitiers' 36. Provence Basket forced 25 Poitiers turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Provence Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Poitiers' players. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-88, college: Wofford, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 13 points and 9 assists. American-German guard Kevin McClain (190-96, college: Belmont) chipped in 15 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. British guard Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye (193-96, college: Bradley) produced 13 points and power forward Sade Aded-Hussein (205-93) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Five Provence Basket and four Poitiers players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Provence Basket moved-up to third place. Poitiers at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Provence Basket's next round opponent will be Sluc Nancy (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Poitiers will play against Aix-Maurienne (#13) in Aix-les-Bains and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
