Very important is a home loss of third ranked Rizing (12-11) against fourth ranked Kumamoto V. (11-10) on Saturday night. Host Rizing was crushed by Kumamoto V. in Fukuoka 96-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rizing. It was a great shooting night for Kumamoto V. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Rizing's players. 25 personal fouls committed by Rizing helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Spanish center David Doblas (208-81) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Lebanese-American point guard Marvelle Harris (196-93, college: Fresno St., agency: Slash Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists. Four Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kumamoto V. maintains fourth place with 11-10 record. Rizing at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. Kumamoto V. will have a break next round. Rizing will play again at home against Kumamoto V. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
