Regular Season Round 10: Kutaisi - Batumi 125-88

Undefeated leader Kutaisi delivered the seventh consecutive victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Batumi (3-5) 125-88. The game without a history. Kutaisi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 22 long-distance shots on high 59.5 percentage. Kutaisi players were unselfish on offense dishing 36 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Batumi's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kaheem Ransom (183-93, college: SHSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. The former international Akaki Dvalishvili (207-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Kutaisi's coach Kote Tugushi felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Beka Bekauri (209-91) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian center Nikola Vujovic (211-93) added 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Batumi. Five Kutaisi and four Batumi players scored in double figures. Kutaisi (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Defending champion Batumi dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Cactus and Vera. Kutaisi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Batumi will play on the road against Titebi (#5) in Tbilisi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
