Regular Season Round 7: E.Ashkelon - H.Galilee 86-78

An interesting game for Ironi Ashkelon (6-0) which hosted in Ashkelon 3rd placed H.Galilee (4-3). Leader Ironi Ashkelon managed to get a 8-point victory 86-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of H.Galilee. Ironi Ashkelon looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Al'Lonzo Coleman (207-89, college: Presbyterian) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Alon Sapir (201-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and center Gabriel Chachashvili (212-99) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for H.Galilee. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Ashkelon have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. H.Galilee at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with H.Ramat Gan and H.Afula. Ironi Ashkelon are looking forward to face Maccabi Raanana (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. H.Galilee will play against Hasharon (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
