Regular Season Round 10: Castello - Real Murcia 88-83

Everything went according to plan in Castellon where second ranked Castello (8-1) beat 7th ranked Real Murcia (3-7) 88-83. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Castello made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for naturalized Dominican power forward Juan-Jose Garcia (201-89, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Oscar Alvarado (184-91) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Alejandro Hernandez (189-90) replied with 16 points and 7 assists and American swingman Andre Norris (201-94, college: Dubuque, agency: Duran International) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Real Murcia. Four Castello and five Real Murcia players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Castello maintains second position in Gold with 8-1 record having just one victory less than leader Breogan. Newly promoted Real Murcia keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Castello's next round opponent will be Real Canoe (#9) in Madrid and are hoping to win another game. Real Murcia will play at home against Huesca and hope to win that game.
