They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was a great evening for international forward Babacar Dieng (197-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. Greek swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84, agency: Mansfield and Associates) helped adding 30 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Al Sadd players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Jamaican Quintrell Thomas (203-90, college: UNLV) responded with 30 points and 5 rebounds and Georgian guard Duda Sanadze (196-92, college: San Diego) scored 29 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al Sadd maintains fifth place with 3-3 record. Loser Al Khor dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Al Ahli. Al Sadd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Qatar Club.
