The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Levice (12-6) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Inter Bratislava (6-9) 89-67. Inter Bratislava shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Lithuanian forward Arnas Berucka (195-97, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Argentinian point guard Lautaro Lopez (190-99) contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Oleg Meleschenko felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Viktor Juricek (211-93, college: TAMUCC) answered with 27 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Simon Krajcovic (187-94, college: LMU) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Levice. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 6-9 record. Levice at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Nova Ves. Inter Bratislava are looking forward to face higher ranked Lucenec (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Levice will play against the league's second-placed Nova Ves and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
