Not a big story in a game in Vitoria where 11th ranked Andorra (7-9) was defeated by fourth ranked Baskonia (13-4) 84-67 on Saturday. Baskonia dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Andorra's 26. They outrebounded Andorra 38-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Baskonia made 7 blocks. Senegalese-French center Youssoupha Fall (221-95) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Pierria Henry (193-93, college: Charlotte) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists during the contest. Four Baskonia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Jeremy Senglin (188-95, college: Weber St.) with 20 points and Icelandic guard Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) scored 6 points and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Baskonia have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 13-4 record. Andorra lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with nine games lost. Baskonia will face Unicaja Malaga (#8) on the road in the next round. Andorra will play against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in Madrid and hope to win that game.
