Regular Season Round 25: Handlova - Prievidza 84-87

Important game to mention about took place in Handlova. Seventh ranked Prievidza (5-10) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Handlova (5-14) 87-84 in the game for the sixth place. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin power forward Dragan Bjeletic (205-92) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds. Slovenian guard Miha Vasl (192-92) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. Serbian power forward Aleksandar Zecevic (207-96, college: FAU) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian forward Dusan Vicentic (204-97, college: WVWC) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Handlova. Five Prievidza and four Handlova players scored in double figures. Handlova's coach Danilo Rakocevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Prievidza moved-up to sixth place. Handlova at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. Prievidza will play against higher ranked Iskra Svit (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Handlova will play against Inter Bratislava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
