Date: January 6, 2021
Fourth ranked Benfica (10-3) crushed at home 7th ranked Vitoria SC (7-6) by 42 points 102-60, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Cameron Jackson (203-96, college: Wofford) stepped up and scored 28 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all twelve shots !!!) for the winners and forward Quincy Miller-Scott (206-92, college: Baylor) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side guard Brandon Parrish (198-94, college: TCU) responded with 11 points and Alex Peacock (201-97, college: Texas St.) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Benfica moved-up to third place. Loser Vitoria SC keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Benfica will face CAB Madeira (#9) in Funchal in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vitoria SC will play on the road against Barreirense in Barreiro and hope to win that game.
