Regular Season Round 14: Borac C - Partizan NiS 75-71

One of the most interesting games of round 14 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Banja Luka where eleventh ranked Borac won against visiting Partizan NiS (6-7) 75-71. Guard Nikola Kocovic (197-96) notched 17 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Nemanja Todorovic (206-91) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even 10 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Rashawn Thomas (203-94, college: TAMUCC, agency: Wasserman) did not help to save the game for Partizan NiS. His fellow American import guard Marcus Paige (183-93, college: UNC) added 11 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Borac (4-8) moved-up to tenth place. Partizan NiS at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Borac will play against league's second-placed Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Partizan NiS will play on the road against Buducnost (#4) in Podgorica and hopes to get back on the winning track.
