Sportist Svoge (11-1) recorded its first loss in Sofia. Visitors were defeated by fourteenth ranked Polytechnica (2-9) 84-79. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Sportist Svoge. Polytechnica players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Guard Nayden Naydenov (185-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Forward Jordan Georgiev (195-78) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Polytechnica players scored in double figures. Polytechnica's coach Yanko Yanchev allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Simeon Tsenov (196-82) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and Vasil Golov added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Sportist Svoge. Polytechnica moved-up to thirteenth place. Newly promoted Sportist Svoge still keeps top position with one game lost. Polytechnica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sofia to the arena Fab Five BUBA.
