Regular Season Round 7: Gries/Oberhoffen - Quimper 65-80

Very expected game when 17th ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (1-5) lost to leader Quimper UJAP (4-0) in Bischwiller 65-80 on Saturday. Quimper UJAP made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Gries/Oberhoffen was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American David Jackson (192-86, college: W.Illinois) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Central African power forward Jimmy Djimrabaye (203-92) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. Kevin Dinal (200-93) answered with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Hugo Robineau (192-0) added 13 points in the effort for Gries/Oberhoffen. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quimper UJAP have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Gries/Oberhoffen lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with five games lost. Quimper UJAP will face Olympique Antibes (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gries/Oberhoffen will play against Souffelweyersheim (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
