Regular Season Round 7: Blois - Vichy Clermont 88-87

The most exciting game of round 7 in the ProB took place in Blois. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked JA Vichy (3-2) to first ranked ADA Blois (6-1) 88-87 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JA Vichy. ADA Blois dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to JA Vichy's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Ivorian Cedric Bah (198-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Thomas Cornely (190-91) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. ADA Blois' coach Mickael Hay used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. David Denave (193-85) answered with 18 points and 4 assists and swingman Thomas Ceci-Diop (194-92) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for JA Vichy. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. ADA Blois maintains first place with 6-1 record. JA Vichy at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Nantes and Paris. ADA Blois are looking forward to face league's second-placed Denain Voltaire on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JA Vichy will play against Poitiers (#18) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
