There was no surprise in Joniskis where 13th ranked Delikatesas (5-14) was defeated by sixth ranked Silute (13-8) 69-65 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-86) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Sarunas Kulevicius (194-89) who recorded 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Sam Martin (206-96, college: Martin Methodist, agency: Big Game Management Inc.) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Despite that victory Silute went down to seventh position due to points difference. Loser Delikatesas dropped to the fourteenth place with 14 games lost. Silute will face bottom-ranked Silales Lusis (#15) in Rietavas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Delikatesas will play at home against Palanga and hope to win that game.
