The game in Njardvik was also quite interesting. Leader Keflavik (4-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Njardvik (2-2). Keflavik defeated Njardvik 90-77 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Keflavik. Njardvik was better in third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Njardvik 42-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and British forward Deane Williams (203-96, college: Augusta) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds. Five Keflavik players scored in double figures. Keflavik's coach Hjalti Vilhjalmsson used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American-British point guard Rodney Glasgow (180-92, college: VMI) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Croatian power forward Mario Matasovic (203-93, college: Sacred Heart) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Keflavik have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Grindavik. Loser Njardvik keeps the fifth place with two games lost. Keflavik will face league's leader Grindavik at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Njardvik will play against Valur (#8) in Reykjavik and hope to win that game.
