Second ranked Sibiu (9-2) crushed at home 9th ranked Steaua B. (4-6) by 28 points 103-75, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by Sibiu. Steaua B. was better in fourth quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sibiu players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American-German forward Isaiah Philmore (203-89, college: Xavier) notched 22 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Marquis Addison (193-91, college: MSSU) supported him with 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Sibiu players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sibiu maintains second position with 9-2 record behind leader Cluj Napoca. Steaua B. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with six games lost. Sibiu will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Steaua B. will play at home against Constanta (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
