Regular Season Round 16: Mega - Cibona 72-71

Twelfth-ranked Croatian Cibona (3-10) was very close to win a game against sixth ranked Serbian Mega SoccerBet (11-5) in Belgrade. Mega SoccerBet managed to secure only one-point victory 72-71. However their fans expected much easier game. Cibona was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Filip Petrusev (211-0, college: Gonzaga, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and Montenegrin center Marko Simonovic (210-99) who added 20 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Mega SoccerBet's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side center Roko Prkacin (206-2) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Josip Bilinovac (191-90, agency: BIG) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Cibona players scored in double figures. Mega SoccerBet maintains sixth position with 11-5 record. Cibona at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with ten games lost. Mega SoccerBet's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Belgrade to the arena Crvena Zvezda.
