Liga Endesa top team - Real Madrid (17-1) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat tenth ranked Andorra (8-10) 86-79. The best player for the winners was naturalized Cape Verdean center Walter Tavares (220-92) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American forward Trey Thompkins (208-90, college: Georgia, agency: Wasserman) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Czech forward David Jelinek (195-90, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 16 points and American-Senegalese guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, college: Wichita St., agency: BeoBasket) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Real Madrid. They maintain first place with 17-1 record. Andorra at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Real Madrid will meet at home Gran Canaria (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Andorra will play against CB Canarias and hope to secure a win.
