Regular Season Round 7: TTT Riga - Kibirkstis 81-62

Latvian undefeated leader TTT Riga delivered the fifth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Lithuanian Kibirkstis (2-3) 81-62. The game was mostly controlled by TTT Riga. Kibirkstis was better in fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TTT Riga forced 21 Kibirkstis turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jessica Thomas (168-94, college: Miami, FL) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Latvian forward Kitija Laksa (186-96, college: S.Florida, agency: Wasserman) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four TTT Riga players scored in double figures. American-Mexican forward Jacqueline Luna-Castro (188-93, college: Charleston) answered with 7 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Audrone Zdaneviciute (168-3) added 8 points in the effort for Kibirkstis. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TTT Riga (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending Latvian champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 5 victories in a row. Kibirkstis lost third consecutive game. Defending Lithuanian champion dropped to the sixth position with three games lost.
