No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked JA Vichy (4-4) crushed 15th ranked Aix-Maurienne (2-5) in Aix-les-Bains 93-69 on Friday. JA Vichy made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. JA Vichy had a 24-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for the former international forward Jordan Aboudou (201-91) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 rebounds. American guard James Batemon (185-97, college: LMU) contributed with 19 points for the winners. JA Vichy's coach Guillaume Vizade felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Finnish guard Ilari Seppala (188-93, agency: Blacktop Management) answered with 18 points and 4 assists and American forward Antonio Ballard (194-88, college: Miami, OH) added 12 points in the effort for Aix-Maurienne. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JA Vichy moved-up to tenth place. Aix-Maurienne lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with five games lost. JA Vichy will face higher ranked Souffelweyersheim (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aix-Maurienne will play against Sluc Nancy (#4) and hope to win that game.
