Regular Season Round 18: Rostock - Bremerhaven 82-85

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Rostock (11-4) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by eighth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (8-4) 85-82. 24 personal fouls committed by Rostock helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Trey Davis (183-93, college: UMass) who led his team to a victory with 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Maximilian Ugrai (201-95) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American point guard Chris Carter (193-92, college: Florida Tech) replied with 16 points and 7 assists and naturalized American point guard Bradley Loesing (183-89, college: Wofford) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Rostock. Four Rostock players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven moved-up to fifth place. Rostock at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven are looking forward to face Gladiators (#10) in Trier in the next round where they are favorite. Rostock will play on the road against Bayer Giants (#8) in Leverkusen and is hoping to win this game.
